Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance reliability of refrigerating operation by closing the opposite ends of a part of heat exchanging section of an air-cooled condenser when refrigerating operation is continued under low outer air temperature and returning refrigerant from the part of heat exchanging section back to the low pressure side of a refrigerant circulation system. CONSTITUTION: When the outer air temperature is low, a blocking means 9 closes the opposite ends of a part of the heat exchanging section of condensers 2, 3 through a control means. Since refrigerant flows except a part of the heat exchanging section of the condensers 2, 3 in a refrigerant circulation system A, condensing performance of the air-cooled condensers 2 3 deteriorates to suppress lowering of high pressure thus sustaining refrigerating operation well. In this regard, the part 2 of the heat exchanging section of the condensers 2, 3 blocked by the means 9 communicates through an equalizing means 12 with the low pressure side of the system A to return refrigerant back to a compressor 1. Consequently, liquid refrigerant is prevented from standing thereat and deficiency of liquid pressure or circulation oil in the compressor 1 is eliminated resulting in the enhancement of reliability of refrigerating operation.
