Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the motion, e.g. local boiling, of a percolator coil and to improve durability, by a method wherein control is effected so that at least either of operation to pour water to the percolator coil prior to the starting of a heat exchanger and operation to pour water thereto after the stop of the heat exchanger is performed. CONSTITUTION:A hot water boiler 1 is provided in a hot water storage tank 2 with a heat exchanger 3. The heat exchanger 3 is provided with a percolator coil 4, and water is fed through the tip side thereof. In control of the hot water boiler 1, at least either of operation to pour water to the percolator coil 4 in prior to the starting of the heat exchanger 3 and operation to pour water to the percolator coil 4 after the stop of the heat exchanger 3 is performed by means of a control panel 38. Namely, since water is fed from a portion in the vicinity of the tip, where temperature is increased to a maximum value, of the operator coil 4 prior to the starting of the heat exchanger 3, an abnormal temperature increase at the portion can be prevented from occurring. This constitution enables improvement of durability.
