Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by detecting the temperature of lubricating oil inside a power transmission mechanism which makes change between the two-wheel-drive mode and the four-wheel-drive mode and inhibiting at least change from the two-wheel-drive mode to the four-wheel-drive mode when the detected temperature of oil is lower than the set value. CONSTITUTION:A transfer equipment 9 contains a H/L changing mechanism 21 which slides a sleeve 20 on a cylindrical member, whereby controlling a deceleration mechanism 14 to change the transmission ratio to the high or the low speed range. Said equipment 9 also contains a driving mode changing mechanism 34 which slides a sleeve 31 to change a center differential gear 22 to the free position or to the locked position, whereby changing the drive to the two-wheel mode or the four-wheel mode. The sleeve 31 is driven by an electric motor 36 via a shift rod 33. In this case an oil temperature sensor 95 which detects the temperature of lubricating oil is put inside a transfer case 10. when the temperature of oil is lower than the set value, said mechanism 32 is inhibited to make change from the two-wheel drive mode to the four-wheel drive mode.
