Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the radio wave transmittivity, radio wave polarization, duration (especially water resistance), mechanical strength and elasticity by employing an FRP using oxynitride glass fibers as a reinforcement member. CONSTITUTION:The oxynitride glass fibers are used as the reinforcement member in the FRP and are preferably 13-24 at% Si, 10-21 at% Ca, 0-5.2 at% Mg, 0-15.1 at% Al, 7.5-25 at% N, 0-5 at% M (M: Zr, Sr, Ba, Y, Ce, Na, B, La, K, Ti). The ratio of mixture of glass cloth in prepleg is nearly 30-60%. Thus, the membrane member for radome having excellent radio wave transmittivity and mechanical performance is obtained inexpensively.
