Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a large output laser oscillator which consumes a small amount of laser gas and has an easy-to-adjust aerodynamic window, by a method wherein concave mirrors are each provided for corresponding orifice plates and a laser beam converged by a concave lens is allowed to pass the hole of an orifice plate. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 26 generated in a laser tube 12 is taken out from the tube 12 by means of opposing reflection mirror 19 and output mirror 23 and focused by a concave mirror 27. The beam 26, after passing the hole of an orifice plate 32 located at the focal point of the concave mirror 27, is again focused by a concave mirror 33, passes the hole of an orifice plate 40 located at the mirror's focal point, and then is collimated by a concave mirror 41. Laser gas, introduced into a space 42 between orifice plates 32 and 40 together with air 45 through each of orifice plate holes, is exhausted via an exhaust port 43 to keep a space 42 pressure below the laser gas pressure. This enables orifice plate hole sizes to be small, gas consumption to be reduced, and the focal lengths of the concave mirrors to be short for easy adjustment.
