Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate heat countermeasures and make a control device small- sized by outputting dim control signals for individual channels from child machines connected to a parent machine and controlling the electric power from a power source with the dimming means of the lighting load according to the dim control signal. CONSTITUTION:A series of mating address signal terminals 3 are turned on or off by the timer of a main operation panel 1 or manually or turned on or off by a wall switch. When a terminal 3 is kept on, the transfer processing section 14 of the terminal 3 detects the content of its own address, a dim control signal is generated by a dim control signal converting section 15 according to the transfer signal, and the dim control signal is outputted by a dim control signal output section 17 synchronously with the synchronizing signal of a synchronization detecting section 12. The electric power fed to the lighting load 4 such as a discharge lamp is controlled for each channel, or the output of an inverter is controlled to pulse width-control a dimming means 4 for dimming. The heat countermeasures can be thereby facilitated, and small-sized child machines can be used.
