Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a tape recorder to operate at high accuracy with a simple constitution by driving and controlling a first reel with a motor for a second reel at constant speed and at high speed and driving and controlling the second reel at high speed with a first motor and at constant speed with a second motor at constant speed. CONSTITUTION:To shafts 24 and 25, freely rotatable reel shafts 22a and 22b, and 23a and 23b are supported, and driven gears 26, 28, 30 and 27, 29, 31 are given to a base. A main motor 54 is driven and capstans 52 and 53 are turned. When a slider 45 is moved with a plunger 86 and a tape travelling direction D is determined, cam gears 83 and 74 are turned, the slider is moved in a direction E, a right side pinch roller is pressed against the capstan 53, the gear 34 of a reel motor 32 is moved through an oscillating member 35 in a direction B, geared selectively to the driven gear of the right reel, rotated at the selected speed and a magnetic head is selected. With the reverse rotation of a slider 49, directions E and B are reversely rotated. By such a constitution, the mechanism can be simplified and the device to operate with a high accuracy is obtained.
