Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain the stabilization of the electrification characteristic on the surface of a photosensitive drum from an initial working time by equipping an exhaust device which exhaust atmosphere between an electrification corotron and a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust device 11 which exhausts the atmosphere remaining between the electrification corotron 3 and the surface of the photosensitive body is installed in an image forming device 10 using the selenium arsenic (As2Se3)-based photosensitive body 2 as an image carrier. With corona discharge between the photosensitive body 2 and the electrification corotron 3, substance which leaks electrified charges, such as air which is made ionic and ozone, etc., generated between them is eliminated. Therefore, the oxidizing reaction of the surface of the photosensitive body 2 is prevented as much as possible. Thus, the electrification characteristic of the surface of the photosensitive drum 2 can be stabilized from the initial working time.
