Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate operations for maintenance and inspection of dust samplers, by providing a dust sampler controlling means for each dust sampler. CONSTITUTION:A dust sampler 1 comprises filter paper 101, a gas suction pump, a piping for collection, a radiation detector 102 and a sequence controller 5 controlling the operation of the dust sampler 1, including supply of the filter paper, control of the gas suction pump, etc. The sequence controller 5 is connected to a dust monitor unit 6 by an optical cable. This unit 6 and a radiation monitor unit 3 are connected together by an optical cable. The unit 6 receives as an input the state of operation of the dust sampler 1 sent from the sequence controller 5 and monitors same, while it outputs a command on alteration and others to the sequence controller 5 when the operation of the dust sampler is altered. Besides, the unit 6 receives a signal of a radiation level as an input from the unit 3 and computes the concentration of radiation.
