Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance detection capacity and operational reliability, by outputting a signal from a slit light image center position output circuit having a binary circuit and a pulse generating circuit within a real time and operating the distance of an object to be detected on the basis of said signal and the signal from a scanning line number output circuit. CONSTITUTION:The image signal 1a outputted from a television camera 1 is outputted as a binary signal 12a by a binarizing circuit 12. A horizontal synchronous signal 10b is brought to the first pulse signal 13a of the cycle corresponding to resolving power and the second pulse signal 13b of a twice cycle by a pulse generating circuit 13. The first and second pulse signals 13a, 13b outputted while changed over by the binary signal 12a are counted at every horizontal synchronous signal 10b by slit light image center position output circuits 14-16 and the horizontal synchronous signal 10b is counted by scanning line number output circuits 17, 18. From these signals 16a, 18a the distance and shape of an object to be inspected are operated at a high speed by an operation circuit 4 to be detected.
