Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely convey a refed sheet of recording paper to a defined position by providing a sensor for detecting the front and rear ends of the sheet of recording paper in the upper course in the conveying direction of a stacker part. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of copying paper P2 sent into an invertingly conveying part 9 are conveyed by means of an endless belt 98, inverted along the curved face 94 of an inverting guide, discharged out leftward from the pressing position of a roller, and slide on top of the stacker base board 101 of a stacker part while further sliding down to be in a stacked condition. And, a photo-sensor 95 detects the passage of the front end and rear end of each sheet of copying paper P2. The stacker part 10 has the stacker base board 101 which is inclined in the direction opposite to the discharging direction of the sheets of copying paper P2 on the lower part of the invertingly conveying part 9 and a widely/narrowly adjustable paper width restricting member 102 can be brought into pressure contact with and separated from both side end faces of the sheets of copying paper P2. Thereby the side faces in the width direction of the sheets of copying paper P2 can be brought into pressure contact with and separated from the guide faces of the paper width restricting member 102, enabling the alignment of all types of sheets of paper.
