Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a molded product of adequate strength, flexibility, superior oil resistance and low-temperature properties, high flame retardance and superior low-temperature setting properties by preparing a mixture of crystalline epichlorohydrin resin and crystalline chlorinated polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:A heat-shrinkable molded product is composed of a mixture of crystalline epichlorohydrin resin and crystalline chlorinated polyethylene. The crystalline epichlorohydrin resin has a chloromethyl group and a crystalline high molecular compound having polyether bonding as a main chain, and particularly 50,000-1,000,000mol.wt. is suitable for a heat-shrinkable material. The crystalline chlorinated polyethylene is prepared by chlorinating polyethylene of 20,000-300,000mol.wt. and 20-50wt.% of chlorine content, and a chlorinated polyethylene containing 2-15% of residual crystals. The appropriate mixing ratio of crystalline epichlorohydrin resin and crystalline chlorinated polyethylene is 60-95wt.% of the former and 40-5wt.% of the latter. A sufficient flame retardance can be available if the blending quantity of the latter is 5wt.% or less, while mechanical strength is lowered if the same is 40wt.% or over.
