Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically remove a trim part to which a moisture-preventive paper is affixed at the inlet to a trim chute by furnishing a device to clamp a trim and cut in conformity to a leading edge and a trailing edge moving signal about the moisture-preventive paper, and equipping a flapper which can change over the trim passage in conformity to a return signal for the clamping/cutting device. CONSTITUTION: When the leading edge of a moisture-preventive paper comes to the specified position before the cutting position by a knife 23, a moving cylinder 15 is actuated a knife holder 16 is advanced to a trim T together with a holder plate 17, and the trim T is clamped between the plate 17 and a receptacle plate 14 by the force of a compression spring. The knife holder 16 is further advanced, and the trim T is cut by the knife 23 in a position before the leading edge of the moisture-preventive paper. Then the knife holder 16 is retreated to the original position and a selector cylinder 28 is actuated, and the flapper 30 is displaced so that the trim passage is changed over to the side with exhaust hole 27. In this condition, the clamping force by the receptacle plate 14 and holder plate 17 is disengaged, and the trim fitted with a cut piece of moisture-preventive paper is exhausted into a bag 31 through the exhaust hole 27.
