Abstract
PURPOSE:To completely prevent production of a personal error and the occurrence of an oversight due to visual inspection and to enable improvement of reliability and a machining speed, by providing a device which performs optical and automatic decision of uncutting during edge preparation. CONSTITUTION:There is a high difference between outputs from image sensor for a cut surface So and an uncut surface S of a steel sheet, and by proper selection of a cut position, a cut surface width (l) is easily measured. Namely, a computing device 8 to which a detecting signal is sent from an image sensor camera 2 calculates the cut surface width (l) based on a signal therefrom, and compares the cut surface width with a cut surface width (l0) to compute it, and the result is inputted to a control device 9. In this case, in the case of l<l0, a deviation therebetween is considered as uncutting to command a cut feed from the control device 9 to a cutter 3 or 5, a steel sheet 4 is returned during cutting or after cutting to set a cut amount to a given value, and recutting is performed.
