Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an output picture with high resolution even when the inspected body is moved at relatively high speed by highly-accurately correcting the residual image of the picture image pickedup by an image pickup device on a real time basis. CONSTITUTION:The titled circuit consists of an A/D converting circuit 22 to digitize a video signal from the image pickup device, plural memories 24 to successively house and hold the video signal digitized by the circuit, a constant storing circuit 27 to store a residual image constant determined by residual image characteristics possessed by the image-pick-up device, an arithmetic circuit 23 to perform a residual eliminating operation based on respective digital data housed and held in the plural memories 24 and the residual image constant stored in the constant storing circuit 27 for the video signal digitized by the A/D converting circuit 22, and a D/A converting circuit 28 to analog-convert the output of the arithmetic circuit 23 and to output it as the video signal. Thus, the residualimage of the picture image pickedup by the image pickup device can be highly-accurately corrected on the real time basis, and even when the inspected body is moved at high speed, the output picture with high resolution can be obtained.
