Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the title rubber composition suitable as, e.g., a sealing material for a compressor of a refrigerating machine, by mixing a partially hydrogenated acrylonitrile/conjugated diene copolymer rubber with a peroxide vulcanizer and carbon black of a large particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. rubber component based on a partially hydrogenated acrylonitrile/conjugated diene copolymer (A) in which 80-95% of the conjugated diene units are hydrogenated (e.g., acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer rubber) is mixed with 2-10pts.wt. vulcanizer (B) comprising a peroxide (e.g., dicumyl peroxide) and 30-100pts.wt. carbon black (C) of a mean particle diameter >=100mum to produce a heat-resistant refrigerant-resistant rubber composition. This rubber composition is suitably used for, e.g., a gasket 3 built in the groove 2 of a joint used in, e.g., a car cooler compressor.
