Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition, prepared by incorporating a pendant unsaturated rubber compound containing sulfur or a vulcanization accelerator with a vulcanized powdered rubber of reutilized waste rubber, and vulcanizing and molding the mixture, and having remarkably improved tensile strength, and suitable for flooring materials, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A composition prepared by incorporating a pendant unsaturated rubber compound containing sulfur or a vulcanization accelerator obtained by mixing 100pts.wt. diene rubber as a binder with 0.5W6pts.wt. sulfur and 0.5W 10pts.wt. vulcanization accelerator, e.g. diethylthiourea, and heat-treating the resultant composition at 80W170°C, with a vulcanized powdered rubber, obtained by pulverizing a used rubber, e.g. tire, and having a particle diameter ≤2mm at a weight ratio between the compound and the powdered rubber of 95:5W5:95, and vulcanizing and molding the resultant mixture.
EFFECT: The diffusion and transfer of the sulfur and the vulcanization accelerator to the vulcanized powdered rubber can be prevented, and the reduction of the crosslinking degree in the rubber matrix is not caused.
