Abstract

PURPOSE: Title composition that is obtained by adding a specific amount of a mixture of specific elastomer and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer to a crystalline polyamide resin and partially curing them in the presence of an organic peroxide, thus showing high elasticity.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 40W95% of a mixture consisting of (a) at least one selected from elastomers of butyl rubber, ethylene-propylene compolymer rubber and (b) ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing 20W60wt% of vinyl acetate is mixed with (B) 5W60% of a polyamide resin selected from nylon 11, nylon 12 and their copolyamides. The composition is partially cured in the presence of preferably 0.1W 0.5% of organic peroxide to form linkages controlled in crosslinking reactions, thus giving the objective composition.
