Abstract

PURPOSE: Title rubber composition that is composed of an ethylene-propylene rubber, an ethylene-acrylate elastomer, an organic peroxide, and a specific curing accelerator, thus having high resistance to ozone, heat, coldness, and flex cracking, further high mechanical strength.
CONSTITUTION: To 100 parts by wt of (A) the elastomer component consisting of (a) 95W20 wt% of an ethylene-propylene rubber containing 50W80 wt% of ethylene and 50W20 wt% of propylene, (b) 5W50 wt% of an ethylene-acrylate elastomer containing an ethylele-alkyl acrylate copolymer and a terpolymer from ethylene, an alkyl acrylate, and the third monomer as acrylic acid or acrlonitrile, are incorporated (B) 0.5W5 parts of an organic peroxide, and (C) 0.1W5 parts of at least one curing accelerator selected from sulfur, triallyl isocyanate.
