Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an apparatus small-sized and to handle it easily by a method wherein a superconducting device is thermally bonded to a heat-absorbing part of a Peltier device and a cooling operation is executed by using a controller used to control a driving current of the Peltier device by means of a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting device unit 1 constituted by a Josephson device or the like is thermally bonded to a heat-absorbing part of a Peltier device 2 and is driven by a DC current by using a Peltier-device controller 5. An output of a temperature sensor 3 thermally bonded to the heat-absorbing part of the Peltier device and an output from a humidity sensor 4 used to detect a humidity value near the heat- absorbing part of the Peltier device are input to the Peltier-device controller 5. When a temperature is monitored by using the temperature sensor 3 and has reached a value at which the superconducting device unit 1 can function sufficiently in a superconducting state, a control signal is sent from the Peltier-device controller 5 to a normal conducting device circuit 6; then, information processing by using the superconducting unit can be executed. Because the normal conducting device circuit 6 has its own function to load a system program or the like, a duration required to cool the superconducting device unit 1 can be utilized effectively.
