Abstract
PURPOSE: To repair a pipeline without using an adhesive agent by selecting a material of low melting point which has rigidity at the normal temperature for a repairing sleeve, inserting the material into the pipeline, heating the material, and widening a diameter of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A repairing sleeve 16, which has a diameter smaller than an inner diameter of a pipeline, is previously mounted on a repairing device. The repairing sleeve 16 has rigidity at the normal temperature, and is formed from a material that becomes softened and extendable by heating at relatively low temperature. When a rubber heater 8 generates heat, the repairing sleeve 16 is heated through an expansion layer 4. When the repairing sleeve 16 can be widen in its diameter, fluid pressure is supplied through a fluid pressure conduit 7 and a pouring hole 6 into the expansion layer 4 to expand the expansion layer 4. Corresponding with in its the expansion of the expansion layer 4, the repairing sleeve 16 is uniformly widened the diameter to a longitudinal direction, and soon a point appearing a pinhole 13 is sealed from an inner surface of the pipeline 12.
