Abstract

PURPOSE: To introduce a sealing cylinder into a conduit already constructed easily and bond the cylinder to the inner surface wall of a conduit without deformation even if inundated with water, by enlarging the diameter of the cylinder having a thermal active adhesive layer on the periphery which is inserted in the conduit.
CONSTITUTION: The thermal active adhesive a is applied to the whole periphery of the gas-impermeable cylinder A having the outside diameter almost the same as the inside diameter of the conduit 1 already constructed. The cylinder A is freely bent and its diameter can be freely changed. The cylinder A is then folded to reduce the diameter, and connected to the wire 6, then inserted in the conduit 1. After narrowing one end of the cylinder A, hot air is supplied from the hot air supply device 7 into the cylinder A, which is expanded and brought into contact with the inner wall surface of the conduit 1 and bonded to the whole inner wall surface with the adhesive a under heating at a temperature surfficient for bonding the adheive a to the wall surface by the heat energy.
