In case of moving right and left and fixing a transmission belt 4, the cones 1, 1' are simultaneously moved to the right, so that the output shaft is rotated at low speed. Similarly, when the cones 1, 1' are simultaneously moved to the left, the output shaft is rotated at high speed. Thus, a continuously variable gear ratio can be remarkably improved and the output shaft can be stably rotated at low and high speed.
