Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a vane type compressor into light weight and to enhance its durability by forming a cylinder block, vane and a rotor by an aluminum alloy and providing a plating layer, mainly composed of iron or nickel, in the point end part of the vane and its side surface. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder block 1, vane 8 and a rotor 4 are formed by an aluminum alloy with a thermal expansion coefficient difference 3X10<-6>/ deg.C or less mutually between the cylinder block 1, vane 8 and the rotor 4. While side plates 2a, 2b form their internal side surface by an aluminum alloy providing a plating layer mainly composed of iron or nickel. The vane 8 provides in its point end part and side surface a plating layer mainly composed of iron or nickel. In this way, a vane type compressor enables its weight to be decreased and its durability to be enhanced.
