The positioning means 11 acts to array the optical fibers 10 successively at and in the prescribed pitches and order; the end part fixing means 8 acts to tentatively stop the arrayed optical fibers 10; and the tape supplying means 6, 7 act to supply the self-adhesive tape capable of fixing the plural arrayed and tentatively fixed optical fibers 10 in the juxtaposed state. The simultaneous treating, cutting and fusing stages in the optical fiber connection are thereby executed rationally in a short period of time.
