Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove a protective paper sheet easily and surely by supplying a liquid on the surface of a windup shaft arranged on a side of a plate material supply device on which plate materials are piled up with protective paper sheets inserted between the plates, and bringing one end of the protective sheet into contact with the windup shaft. CONSTITUTION:Plate materials W with protective paper sheets inserted between the plates are piled on a vertically movable table 15 of a plate material supply device 9 and the height of the material top is maintained constant. A freely detachable windup shaft 33 mounted on a rotary shaft 31 attached to a machine frame 19 is driven with a motor 39. Arranging a vertically movable sub-roller 43 above the windup shaft 33, a liquid such as water, alcohol, etc. is supplied by bringing the sub-roller into contact with the windup shaft 33. An arm 57 of a protective paper sheet transfer device 55 sucks a protective paper sheet 17 with a sucker 59 at the tip of the arm 57, swings the sheet, makes the front end of the sheet adhere to the windup shaft 33, and winds up the sheet 17 by rotating the windup shaft 33. After finishing the windup, a transfer device 55 is retracted, a plate material send-in device 21 comes right above the plate material W and sucks 29 it, and transfers it onto a worktable. The protective paper sheet is thus removed easily and efficiently.
