PURPOSE:To obtain excellent electrophotographic characteristics and to decrease the degradation in the characteristics at the time of repetitive uses by forming an under coating layer in which a specific cured film is incorporated. CONSTITUTION:The under coating layer is formed by incorporating the cured film contg. a butyl etherified melamine formaldehyde resin having <=1,500 number average mol. wt., 2-4 bonded formaldehyde number per piece of melamine nuclei and 1-2 methylol group number, an alkyl etherified benzoguanamine formaldehyde resin having 400-2,000 number average mol. wt., and an electron receptive carboxylic acid compd. and/or electron receptive polycarboxylic anhydride into said layer. The excellent electrophotographic characteristics are thereby provided to the electrophotographic sensitive body and the good images are obtd. from said body; in addition, the degradation in the characteristics in the repetitive uses is decreased.
