Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower a cost of close-contact image sensor with high sensitivity by lighting intermittently a lighting source so as to adjust the exposure thereby not saturating the photoelectric conversion output. CONSTITUTION:A monostable multivibrator 11 generates a control pulse having a specified time width based on a pulse inputted from a control circuit 10 and gives it to a lighting circuit 12. The lighting circuit 12 outputs the drive current based on the control pulse to light intermittently the lighting source 13. Thus, the close-contact image sensor with high sensitivity is attained without increas ing the capacitance of a sensor device, without decreasing the luminous quantity of an LED array and charging components used in a conventional sensor.
