Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a large-aperture lens which is small-sized, light-weight, and low-cost though having not a high variable power ratio, by constituting a zoom lens of a first group consisting of a compensator lens group, a second group consisting of a variator lens group, and a third group consisting of a fixed lens group and focusing the lens by the first group. CONSTITUTION:The zoom lens consists of a first group I consisting of the compensator lens group which has a positive refracting power and is moved at the time of zooming to keep the image surface fixed, a second group II consisting of the variator lens group which has a negative refracting power and is moved to vary the power, and a third group III consisting of the fixed lens group having a positive refractive power in order from the object side. Focusing at an arbitrary focal length is performed by movement of the first group, and these lenses satisfy conditions 0.28<phi1/¦phi2¦<0.43 (phi1<0) and 0.18<phi1fw<0.32 where phi1 and phi2 are refracting powers of the first group and the second group respectively and fw is the resultant focal length of the whole of the system in the wide end.
