Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, lightweight lens system which has a >=5 zoom ratio, by using four lens groups, moving the 1st and 4th groups linearly, and compensating an image plane by the curved-line movement of the 3rd group. CONSTITUTION:On the principle that the 1st and 3rd lens group are an afocal system at some zoom position, this zoom lens system forms a focal system. The system consists of the 1st positive lens groups, the 2nd negative lens groups, the 3rd positive lens group, and the 4th positive lens group from an objecct side, and for zooming from a wide side to a telephoto side, the 1st and 4th groups are moved linearly to increase a telephoto ratio, correcting aberration variation. Then, the 2nd group is fixed and only the 3rd group is moved curvedly to compensate focus movement. For the purpose, the focal lengths of the 2nd and 4th, and the focal length of the whole system are specified as shown by inequalitiesI-III.
