Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently remove a coating metal from the metal oxide base material by feeding gas of bromine or iodine under heating to volatilize and remove the coating metal as bromide or iodide. CONSTITUTION:Halogen gas of bromine or iodine is prepd. A material obtd. by coating the metal oxide base material with a metal is heated to 200-1,500 deg.C. The halogen gas is fed to the heated material to volatilize and remove the coating metal as halide.
