CONSTITUTION:When the kind of products produced by hot dip galvanizing is changed over from ordinary hot dip galvanized steel sheets to alloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheets, the concn. of Al in a hot dip galvanizing bath 2 contg. Al is reduced. In order to reduce the concn. of Al, iron or an iron-zinc alloy 12 is introduced into the bath 2 with a proper device 11 and Al is allowed to rise to the surface of the bath 2 as solid Fe2Al5 13, which is then removed from the bath 2. Thus, the concn. of Al in the hot dip galvanizing bath 2 is reduced in a short time.
