PURPOSE:To permit the manufacture of a composite material by one set of press molds, by a method wherein a core material, having the shape of block, grain, plate or net, is inserted between the press molds and the core material is molded by approaching the press molds, subsequently, surface material is forced into a gap between the core material and the press molds. CONSTITUTION:A core material 3, having the shape of block, grain, plate or net, is inserted between press molds 1, 2, then, the press molds 1, 2 are approached to each other to mold the core material 3 so as to have the same shape of the press molds substantially. A gap is provided between the core material 3 and the press molds 1, 2 and surface material is forced into the gap as it is when the press molds 1, 2 are positioned with a space capable of obtaining the thickness of a semi-product. Subsequent to the process of molding the core material 3 with objective size and shape, the space between the press molds is opened by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the surface material of one side and the material of the surface material is forced through a nozzle 4 to mold the surface material 5.
