Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely prevent the setting of an automatic answering telephone from being forgotten, by integrating an automatic answering telephone line to a guard transmitter which can control an operating state through a trunk line by giving a call operation from a general telephone set, and controlling the setting and resetting of the automatic answering telephone line at the time of call operation control. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter 1 for guard contains an automatic answering telephone line 16, and is constituted so that an operating state of the automatic answering telephone line 16 can be controlled together by setting and resetting operations from a general telephone set 6. When a call from the general telephone set 6 is received, a call signal detecting circuit 11 responds to it, an organization for receiving the control information is formed in the transmitter 1, and thereafter, when the control information has been given from the general telephone set 6, a guard operating state, and an operating state of an automatic answering telephone are controlled, based on the control information by a tone receiver circuit 13, etc. In such a way, oversight in setting of the automatic answering telephone is prevented.
