Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove trailing phenomenon and to use a CRT with high light emitting brightness by providing a photographic printing device using a CRT as a light source with a digital filter for filtering a digitally converted video signal and cancelling the afterglow characteristics of the CRT. CONSTITUTION:A mirror 23 is arranged between the CRT 1 and a printing lens 13 so as to be pivoted around a shaft 23a and flying spot light projected from the CRT 1 scans a color negative image 11, and after the scanning, the light is led into an inspecting optical path 24 and made incident upon a photomultiplier tube 31 a through a lens 29 and a lens 30. The tube 31 photoelectrically converts the incident light and outputs as a time sequential signal. The time sequential signal is amplified by an amplifier 32 and then digitized by an A/D converter 33. The digital filter 34 filters the digital signal obtained from the A/D converter 33 to remove distortion generated from the afterglow characteristics of the flying spot light. A video signal from the filter 34 is selected by a selector 37 and sent to a frame memory 36.
