PURPOSE:To attain highly reliable AD conversion by allocating an error detecting cycle and a conversion cycle to plural self-calibration type AD converting means so that at least one AD converting means is increased in the conversion cycle. CONSTITUTION:An input signal voltage Vin, a reference voltage Vref and ground GND are respectively connected to self-calibration AD converters 11, 12 and a control device 25 for alternately switching an error detecting cycle and a conversion cycle is connected to respective control circuits 21, 22. The control device 15 controls switching so that a part of a conversion cycle Conv. of the AD converter 11 is superposed to that of the AD converter 12 and the mean value of both the digital conversion values is found out in the period to reduce an output error due to conversion characteristics (correcting characteristics). Since calibration is optionally executed in parallel with AD converting operation, highly accurate AD conversion can always be executed.
