Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a resonance mode by which a two-cycle driving can be executed by removing an external electrode on one surface of a two-layer piezoelectric body to which polarization processing is executed. CONSTITUTION:An internal electrode 2' is formed between a first piezoelectric ceramic layer 1 and a second piezoelectric ceramic layer 1'. An external electrode 2 is formed on 2 surfaces perpendicular in a laminating direction. After the polarization processing is executed by impressing a DC voltage between the external electrode 2 and the internal electrode 2', one surface on the lead taking-out part side of the external electrode 2 is removed with a scriber dither. A packing material 5 is adhered to the piezoelectric ceramic layer 1' through an adhesive layer 4 and an acoustic matching layer 3 is formed on an ultrasonic radiating surface.
