Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an electronic circuit package to be fixed to, released from and withdrawn from an electronic device simultaneously for improving working efficiency, by providing separately a mechanism for withdrawing the electronic circuit package from a shelf and a mechanism for fixing the package in the shelf. CONSTITUTION:In order to insert an electronic circuit package 1 into a shelf 2 of an electronic device, the lower end of a lock 12 is pressed by a finger in the direction as indicated by the arrow, against elastic force of a spring 15 so that a claw 13 at the upper end of the lock 12 is swung upwards around a pin 14. Thus, the electronic circuit package 1 is inserted into the shelf 2 by guiding it with a guide rail 3, and a package connector 6 is electrically connected with a backboard connector 5. When the package 1 is completely inserted into the shelf 2, the lower end of the lock 12 is released from the finger so that the lower end of the lock 12 is swung outwards by elastic force of the spring 15 whereby the claw 13 engages a projection 9 on the shelf 2. accordingly, the package 1 is pressed into the shelf 2 through a lever 7 by the elastic force of the spring 15.
