Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a leakage current in a short time and to efficiently form a solid electrolytic capacitor by insulating an electrolyticly and oxidatively polymerized conductive polymer film formed on a sectional face by the use of an oxidizer or reducing agent. CONSTITUTION:When the end of a metal foil is cut after a chemically and oxidatively polymerized conductive polymer film 3 formed by chemically polymerizing pyrrole, thiophene, aniline or furan, a metal exposed part 5 is formed. An electrolyticly and oxidatively polymerized conductive polymer film 4 is laminated by electrolytic polymerization thereon as it is, a cathode lead 7 is extended with silver paste or the like on the film 4, and a capacitor is formed. The film 4 in contact with the part 5 is insulated by forming an insulating layer 8 by the use of an oxidizer or reducing agent as shown in Fig. (b).
