Abstract

PURPOSE:To make formation of conductive high polymer film effective by processing one of oxidizer and conductive high polymer monomer continuously to a long base material having electric insulation and then processing the other continuously. CONSTITUTION:One end of a roll of a long base material 1 having electric insulation is taken, and the base material 1 is immersed in a first immersion tank 2 where either oxidizer or conductive high polymer monomer is filled to go through it. Then it is immersed in a second immersion tank 3 where the other of the oxidizer and the conductive high polymer monomer is immersed to go through it. After that, it is sent through a cleaning tank 4, where nonreacting matters are cleaned. For the conductive high polymer monomer, pyrrole, thiophene, aniline, or furan shall be used preferably. A conductive high polymer film can thus be formed effectively on the surface of a long base material with electric insulation.
