Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease a noise component with high accuracy by providing a means to execute conversion to a condition in which a high frequency component is attenuated with prescribed quantity to be smaller than a low frequency component and a means to amplify a high frequency component different from the above mentioned one. CONSTITUTION:For a luminance signal, the high frequency component is extracted in a waveform converting circuit 100, suppressed by the prescribed quantity and outputted to a fixing emphasis circuit 101. The circuit 101 amplifies the high frequency component. The worked luminance signal is supplied through a changing-over switch 102 to a non-linear emphasis circuit 103. Then, the noise component is further decreased by loading normal emphasis and recorded through a limiter circuit 104 and an FM modulation circuit 105 to a magnetic sheet 111. Thus, since the high frequency component, which corresponds to the rising and falling edge parts of the luminance signal, is once suppressed and the emphasis is loaded to the high area component of the suppressed frequency component, the noise component can be decreased.
