CONSTITUTION:A C=C-terminated aliphatic polycarbonate is made to react with a hydrosilane compound in the presence of a catalyst such as platinum (pref. at 50-150 deg.C for 1-4hr) to obtain the objective aliphatic polycarbonate carrying at least one group of formula (R is H or monovalent 1-10C hydrocarbon; X is halogen, alkoxy etc.; a is 1-3) as the terminal group with a mol.wt. of 300-20,000 (pref. 500-10,000).
