Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the loss of monomer to be made into an electrically conductive polymer through suppressing its consumptions due to causes other than its electrolytic polymerization, by adding a stabilizer to the electrolyte when the above polymer is to be obtained by anodizing the electrolyte containing said monomer and supporting electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:When an electrically conductive polymer is to be obtained by anodizing an electrolyte containing a monomer to be made into said polymer and a supporting electrolyte, a stabilizer (pref. ultraviolet light absorber such as phenylsalicylate and/or antioxidant such as hydroquinone) is added to said electrolyte in such amount as to be pref. 0.01-0.5wt.% based on said monomer to stabilize the electrolyte.
