Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to improve the grain size of the pulverized coal of a mill outlet and to decrease a mill differential pressure without lowering a pulverizing capacity by providing the circumference an upper ring with a skirt-like baffle plate directed toward a lower ring. CONSTITUTION: A pulverizing section B consists of a disk-shaped pulverizing table 27 which rotates around its central axis, the toric belt-like lower ring 19 which has a recessed front surface fixed to the outer periphery on the front surface of this table 27, balls 28 which are arranged over the entire circumference on the recessed front surface of the ring 19 and the upper ring 17 which is arranged on the balls 18, has a rear surface of a recessed toric band, is pressurized to press the balls in this recessed part and is so fixed as to be held static against the rotation of the ring 19. The spaces between inside surface of the wall and the outer peripheral surface of the pulverizing section B and the outer peripheral surface of a classifying section A are formed as air flow passages for transfer of the pulverized grains in a casing section 29. The circumference of the ring 17 is provided with the skirt-like baffle plate 50 directed toward the ring 29. Consequently, the reduction of the mill differential pressure is made possible.
