Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a flash photographing automatic zooming device which can cope with any high variable power rate lens, as well by bringing a lens to automatic zooming to as to go to a view angle within a flash light distribution available range, when a focal distance of the zoom lens has exceeded the flash light distribution available range. CONSTITUTION:When a release button is operated and a photometric start switch is turned on, a control circuit CPU outputs a photometric start signal to a photometric circuit MSR, and if a result of photometry is low in luminance, a camera is set to a flash mode, and whether a view angle of a photographic lens has exceeded a light distribution angle of a flash or not is discriminated. As a result, when the view angle of the lens has exceeded the light distribution angle of the flash, a signal is outputted to a driver circuit DVR in order to turn forward a zooming use motor MTR, so that the view angle of the lens goes to within the light distribution available range of the flash, and zooming is started. Accordingly, at the time of flashing in mode of the time of low in luminance, the view angle of the photographic lens always enters into the light distribution range of the flash, and it is possible to cope with a high variable power rate of the photographic lens.
