CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 16 is covered with a pressure-resistant pipe and feed power conductor 25, and also, an insulator covering 26 made of polyethylene is formed thereon. When an optical submarine cable is fed by a feeding device 12, since a magnetic sheet 11 having high magnetic permeability is placed in the upper and the lower parts of the optical submarine cable which is wound round in a shape of a coil, a closed circuit of a magnetic flux comes to be formed easily in the outside periphery of the optical submarine cable 6, and as a result, the magnetic flux passing through the center of the coil decreases. As a result, from the relation of a magnetic flux phi=Li, the inductance L can be decreased. In such a way, even when a current flowing in the optical submarine cable 7 is varied suddenly, an induction voltage generated in accordance with the inductance can be suppressed lowly.
