Abstract
PURPOSE:To spread the range of the torsion angle-transmission torque characteristic by connecting the both of the inner and outer peripheral torsion springs, permitting softening, with a turbine hub connected with an output shaft by a driven plate arranged along the front cover side edge surface of a turbine. CONSTITUTION:The power introduced from a frictional facing piston 19a is transmitted, in a torsion spring 20 part, from the piston 19a successively to a piston 19, retaining plate 32, projections 38 and 39. spring 20, projection 40, and a driven plate 35. while, in a torsion spring 23 part, the power is transmitted from the piston 19a in succession through a piston 19, plate 32, side plate 33, projections 44 and 45, spring 23, projection 46, and the plate 35. In other words, the power inputted into the piston 19 is cushioned by both the springs 20 in the outer peripheral part and the spring 23 in the inner peripheral part. and the range of the torsion angle-transmission torque characteristic which is obtained by a lock-up damper 18 is spread.
