Abstract

PURPOSE:To always obtain a stable synchronizing clock by widening the width of the succeeding reset pulse when the clock rises within the effective period of the reset pulse and making the width narrow when not rising. CONSTITUTION:A 1st clock (a) is frequency-divided by a counter 1, a counter 1 is reset at the leading of a 2nd clock (b) to generate a synchronizing clock (c) synchronously with the 2nd clock (b). While a reset pulse (h) resets the counter 1, if the leading of the clock (a) exists, the width of the reset pulse (h) is widened and when not in existence, the width is made narrow. Thus, it is prevented that the trailing of the reset pulse (h) approaches the leading of the 1st clock (a) resulting making the phase of the synchronizing clock (c) unstable.
