Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the prevention of friction and vibration of a detection coil, by setting a specified interval between the detection coil and an overhead wire in an eddy flaw detector for the overhead wire. CONSTITUTION:A running roller 4 and a coil holder 9 are mounted on a substrate 3 of a flaw detector for an overhead wire and a coil frame 22 is held on the coil holder 9 movably in the direction of the arrow 25. A detection coil 18 is fitted into a through hole of the coil frame 22. A support material 23 is fixed on the circumference of the coil frame 22 to support a roller 24 with a shaft. A coil spring 21 is arranged at an upper end of the detection coil 18 to apply an elastic force to the detection coil 18 and the coil frame 22 in the direction of the overhead wire 1. Here, while the roller 23 is pressed on the circumference of the overhead wire 1, the detection coil 18 is held non contact at a specified interval between the roller 23 and the overhead wire 1.
