Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the size of the light quantity with good accuracy, by forming a detecting device of a structure utilizing an amplifier circuit employing a gain outputting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A light from a light emitting section 9 is received by a light receiving section 1. An output signal of the light receiving section 1 is inputted to an amplifier section 2. The signal inputted to the amplifier section 2 is amplified in a first half stage amplifier unit 3 to be supplied into a gain controlling unit 4 having a gain reduction characteristic by which the amplification degree can be changed corresponding to an output of a gain outputting unit 7. The frequency of an optical signal to be used is selected in a band-pass filter 5. Thereafter, the signal is sent to a wave detecting unit 6 for converting the signal to be an output of the gain outputting unit 7. The signal is, passing through the gain outputting unit 7 from which it is returned back to the gain controlling unit 4 as the output of the gain outputting unit 7, inputted to a comparing section 8. The comparing section 8 outputs a signal corresponding to the light quantity.
